I found these photos of matcha madeleines in my picture folder. They were baked months ago which I've not posted the recipe up here. As usual, I shared them with the colleagues in the office and the gitrls also packed some to share with their friends in school.
- 90ml melted unsalted butter
- 100g plain flour
- 1.5 tsp matcha powder
- 70g caster sugar
- 2 medium egg
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
Baking Steps:
- Preheat over to 180 degree C and grease the madeleine pan with melted butter.
- Sieve the flour, matcha powder and baking powder together. Set aside.
- Whisk the eggs and sugar together for about 5 minutes on medium high speed or till mixture is pale and thicken.
- Mix in the flour mixture in 2 batches and add in the melted butter. Sitr to combine.
- Spoon the mixture to fill the madeleines pan to almost at the ream.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Use a toothpick to check for doneless.
- Remove the madeleines from the pan and let cook on the wire rack.
So pretty. I would love to have a piece or two for morning breakfast :)
